A large number of domestic weapons and many bottles of foreign liquor were recovered from the rooms of Chhatra League leaders in various residential halls of DUET. On Friday in the evening, the general students of DUET broke the lock and entered the room of the fugitive president of DUET Chhatra League Mizanur Rahman Mithun and other leaders. The students recovered a huge quantity of domestic weapons, foreign liquor and packets of condoms from there.
The students present there said that earlier the terrorists of Chhatra League used to torture ordinary students with these weapons in trivial issues. Meanwhile, the students handed over the recovered weapons to the university administration and demanded due trial.
It may be noted that, the students could not enter the room of DUET Chhatra League secretary Mahmud Hasan Manna. Students said that there is a possibility of having more weapons there.
